It’s a heavenly present for starry-eyed lovers – a Valentine’s experience that’s truly out of this world!

The two night stargazing package at the Cairndale Hotel in Dumfries on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 February includes viewing constellations, galaxies and planets at a 13th century castle and a twilight swim in Scotland’s newest destination Spa.

The two hour twilight session on the Friday evening includes Prosecco and canapes in the Spa lounge followed by a gin tasting hosted by a local distillery and three course dinner during which guests will be briefed by a regional dark skies ranger.

On the Saturday you will be escorted to nearby Caerlaverock Castle to view the Heavens before returning to the hotel for a four-course dinner under the stars in the hotel’s heated outdoor domes, warmed up further with a dram of local whisky.

The package, which includes four hour access to the Spa on the Saturday, breakfast and transfers to and from the castle, is £399 per person based on two sharing.
