I’m delighted to be able to welcome you to the hotel.
My family first took over the hotel in 1983 and over this period we have made a number of improvements to the hotel.
Back in 1983 the hotel only had 29 out of a total of 45 bedrooms with en-suite facilities and over the years we have more than doubled the number of bedrooms to 86.
As the largest privately owned hotel in the area, we are always looking to make improvements for the future and with this in mind I’d appreciate any feedback you might be able to provide.
If there’s anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable please speak to a member of staff and if at any point you feel that the service you receive falls below expectation please mention this at the time as it is impossible to rectify things after your stay.
Available to guests in their room or in Reivers Restaurant. For room service you will find an order form in your room, simply select your breakfast choice and hang the order on the outside of your bedroom door before 2:00am.

The hotel is completely Non-Smoking. Cigarette Ashtrays are located in the Smoking areas which Include. Front Entrance and Park House Entrance. We will make a charge of £100 for any room which has been smoked in.

The following cards are accepted-American Express, Maestro, MasterCard, Visa. We can only accept cheques by prior arrangement.
Extra towels, blankets, pillows, toiletries etc, are readily available. Please contact Reception on Ext. 100
(Housekeeping starts at 9:00 am to clean rooms).
These services are available daily, except on Sundays and Public holidays. A laundry bag is provided in your room along with a laundry deposit form. This should be filled in and accompany your laundry, please hand this to Reception or call Ext 100 for collection before 8.30am for return the same day.

Iron & Ironing Board
An iron and ironing board can be found inside your wardrobe.
Departures & Guest Check Out
Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11.00 am on the morning of departure. Should you wish to check out before 7.00 am on the morning of departure, please settle your account with hotel Reception before 11.00 pm on the previous evening. Should you wish to delay your check out time, please contact Reception on Ext. 100.
Should you require newspapers please place your order at Reception Ext. 100 prior to retiring for the evening. The paper/s will be charged to your room account.
Safe Deposits / Valuables
For your convenience, valuables may be deposited at Reception for safe-keeping. This service is available from 7.00am to 11.00pm. We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for any items which are lost or stolen.

Hairdryers are provided in all bedrooms for your convenience.
All new TV’s have freeview.
Should you have a maintenance problem in your room, please contact hotel reception on Ext. 100. If the problem cannot be fixed an alternative room will be made available if possible.
All the radiators in the guest rooms are fitted with thermostatic controls for your added comfort.
Tea / Coffee Making Facilites
A hospitality tray is provided in each bedroom /suite. Further supplies are available from Reception Ext. 100.
Free Wireless Internet access in bedrooms and public areas. Click on to Cairndale WiFi and fil in your details to get access.
The hotel lift has the capacity for 2 persons. Please do not use if the Fire Alarm is raised.
Postage & Mail Service
A mailing service is available at Reception and we will be happy to post any mail on your behalf.
A 24 hour porterage service is available in the hotel, if you require any assistance with luggage on departure. This service is free of charge. Please call Reception on Ext. 100.
Certain house-trained pets are welcome in the hotel by prior arrangement only. However, pets other than guide dogs are not allowed in the hotel’s public areas and restaurants.
Pets are charged at £15 per night, per pet.
Picnics may be ordered via Reception Ext. 100. Please place your order before 7.00pm where possible. (consisting of sandwiches, drink, cake, piece of fruit and crisps).
Private Dinner Parties
A number of rooms in the hotel are suitable for private dinners for up to 25 persons. Please ask the Duty Manager for details of our banqueting menus.
A Duty Manager is normally available in the hotel from 7:00 am – 1 2:00 midnight. Please feel free to ask for the Duty Manager at any time.
In case of fire or any other emergency, please consult the instructions and fire notice on the inside of your bedroom door.
Should you require medical attention. Please contact Reception Ext. 100 who will contact the Doctor on your behalf.
We are always pleased to receive your comments and/or suggestions. You will find a guest questionnaire in your room for this purpose. The Manager on duty, is also available and happy to hear your comments.
