We are currently looking to strengthen our maintenance team in the hotel and looking for someone with good all round experience who can turn their hand to a number of skills including painting, joinery, tiling, gardening etc.

Our maintenance department are responsible for keeping all plant and equipment in running order and as well as routine maintenance they are involved in the ongoing refurbishment of the hotel.

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to hea-up our sales team at the Cairndale Hotel & Leisure Club. The 91 bedroom, family owned 3 star hotel is located in the market town of Dumfries in South West Scotland.

The successful applicant will ideally ave experience in a similar role preferably in the Hotel Industry. Knowledge of managing a PMS and Channel Manager is a distinct advantage, however training can be provided for the right candidate.

You will drive and develop new and existing business for the hotel inh all market segments. Working closely with the Directors you will manage OTA business levels to reduce agency commisssions. Maintaining an active database of customers in the different business sectors and making regular contact using electronic communication methods is an important part of the role. You will produce management communications and have the ability to meet targets set for accommodation, pre-booked F&B sales and leisure club memberships.

WAITING STAFF - Part-time/As Required

Working within our busy Restaurant and Banqueting departments, serving food and beverages to customers. The ideal candidate will be presentable and enthusiastic.

Working in the Bar areas within the Hotel serving wine and drinks and maintaining a clean and professional bar. Candidates must be over 18 years of age.

NIGHT PORTER - Full-time / Part-time

Main duties include looking after guests, setting up conference rooms, security walks of the Hotel and basic Reception and Bar duties. Hours between 11pm and 7am. Due to the nature of the job and licensing laws, candidates must be aged 18 or over.
