MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP SCHEME
Available only by monthly direct debit. There is a one off administration/joining fee for all new members (except children) of £30 per person. The monthly amount paid may be subject to alteration or change. The Direct Debit will be applied on the 10th of each month and membership lapses if subscription is not paid.

MEMBERSHIP RULES

Members of the club are bound, as conditions of their membership, to comply with regulations set out under A, b and C below. These have been drawn up with a view to ensuring that the Leisure Club facilities are properly and safely used, and that all members are able to take full advantage of the facilities without interfering with the enjoyment of others.
The Club is a proprietary club, the proprietors and sole managers of which (subject to these rules) are James Wallace (Dumfries) Ltd.

A. GENERAL

1.	    DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall commence on the date of payment. The company shall be under no obligation to renew or extend membership, but any such renewal or extension shall be on the condition that the member complies with any rules, regulations and conditions relating to membership. The granting of membership is at the sole discretion of the Company and no reason shall be given for any refusal of membership. Membership is not transferable. The Company will determine the amount of annual subscriptions and charges for use of the facilities. These may vary at the Company's discretion.

2.	MEMBERSHIP CARDS
Each member will be issued with a membership card. Two passport photographs for each individual member will be required including children.
Each member will be required to produce their membership card before entering the Leisure Club facilities. Memberships take approximately 7 days to process from acceptance after which time your card may be collected from reception. Hotel guests may also use the Leisure Club on production of their room key or card.

3.	HOURS OPENING
The opening times may be subject to alteration, although the Company will endeavour to give notice of this. All patrons must vacate the pool hall by 10.15pm and the complex by 10.30pm.
The Company shall be entitled at any time and for any period to vary the times at which the facilities, or any of them, are available if the facilities are required in connection with general Hotel operations of the Company, or by reason of repairs, alterations or maintenance to the Leisure Club or Hotel Facilities. Although the company will seek to notify members in advance by means of the Leisure Club notice board of any dates and times when restrictions will apply.

4.	GUESTS
Members are completely responsible for payment of any guest fee due - failure to comply could result in cancellation of the membership. Members must not leave the Club before their guests.
Guests are admitted to the Leisure Club on condition that they observe all the rules and regulations applicable to members.




5.	CHILDREN
Children under the age of 16, will only be admitted to the Leisure Club facilities if they are accompanied by, and are the responsibility of an adult. For safety reasons and in order to preserve the general amenity of the Club, any adult bringing a child into the Leisure Club shall ensure that the child is properly supervised at all times. In the interest of safety, children under the age of 16 will not be permitted to use the Gymnasium at all and may only use the Sauna and Steam Room if accompanied by and be the responsibility of an adult. Children have to leave the facility by 7.30pm. No food, drinks, sweets, etc, to be taken into the Leisure Club. Children over the age of 8 must change in their own changing room. A ratio of 1 adult to 3 children at maximum.

      6.     SMOKING AND ALCOHOL
Smoking is not permitted in the Leisure Centre. It is advised that alcohol should not be consumed prior to using the leisure facilities.

7.	CLOTHING
Members and their guests are requested to dress in a manner appropriate to the sporting activity being engaged in.

8.	STAFF INSTRUCTIONS
As well as observing the regulations currently applicable to the Leisure Club, members and their guests should comply with directions given by the Club Management and Staff, who are responsible for supervising the facilities. Members are responsible for ensuring that their children and guests comply with these regulations and directions.

9.	TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
a)	Any member who misuses the Leisure Club facilities or who acts in a way which constitutes a safety hazard or interferes with the enjoyment of other members will have his or her membership terminated immediately. Moreover the Company reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member at any time, without notice, at his sole discretion. No refund will be made.
b)	If the company considers it necessary to terminate the permission extended to the guest of any member to use the Leisure Club facilities, no refund of the admission charge made in the respect of that guest will be paid.
c)	We regret we are unable to offer refunds on cancelled memberships.
10.	VARIATIONS
The company reserves the right to amend and add to these regulations as it sees fit, and members shall observe any amended or additional regulations so made.








B. PARTICULAR FACTS

a.	GYMNASIUM
For safety reasons the area of the gymnasium must be kept dry, members are therefore forbidden from entering it while wearing wet clothes. Trainers or gym shoes must be worn.

b.	SWIMMING POOL
i.	In the interest of hygiene, members are requested to shower before using any of the poolside facilities.
ii.	As the pool is not always supervised it is stressed that members and guests should note that they are responsible for their own safety. Running, jumping or diving in the pool area is not permitted.
c.	SAUNA AND STEAM ROOM
Please read instructions before using. The Sauna and Steam Room are mixed so would members and guests please ensure that swimming costumes are worn.

d.	SOLARIUM
The sunbed will be available by appointment. Details of times and charges will be available from the Club reception. All persons using the sunbed are requested to read the safety instructions in the sunbed room.

e.	BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS
All bookings must be made by a member. Notice of cancellation of any appointment must be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Failure to do so may cause a cancellation charge to be made to such member.
C. LIABILITY
(A)	Each member and guest engaging in activities in the Leisure Club or making use of its facilities is responsible for ensuring that he or she is properly equipped and that his or her state of health and physical condition are such as not to involve any risk to him or herself nor to any other person making use of the Leisure Club.
(B)	The company accepts no liability for accident, injury or misadventure. Members and guest are responsible for making their own insurance arrangements in respect of injuries suffered by them to any third party.
(C)	Lockers are provided in the changing room for use by members and guests. However, the Company cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to any valuables while on the Company's premises (including valuables left in any unattended vehicle).
(D)	Each member is responsible for making their guests and dependants aware of the Leisure Club rules.
